I'm finally getting around to posting the rest of our pictures from our trip to Maryland. We had a great time! The kids loved everything we did - we took a trip to the Baltimore and Ohio train museum in downtown Baltimore, the aquarium, Old
Ellicott City train museum, a trip to DC and many visits from friends and family. It was quite a busy 9 days!
Ethan and Nina enjoyed watching the Inaugural Parade and were waving as President and Michelle Obama got out of their limo. Ethan loves telling everyone about the parade and the new president and the other day saw Michelle on
tv and asked why she didn't have her yellow dress on.
Nina enjoying the snow
Ethan loved using
Ro Ro's shovel to clean the driveway
On the Metro heading into DC
Ethan and Daddy in front of the Capitol - can you believe how few people are behind them? This was Friday after the events on Tuesday - no one was in DC and it was fabulous!
Ethan playing in an airplane in the Air and Space Museum
Going to see an
Imax movie in the museum
Ethan and Mark took a spin on the carousel on the Mall
A much different view of the Lincoln Memorial - and if you notice the reflecting pool is frozen over and there are some people walking across
Ethan petting Stonewall at the Washington Monument
Outside the back of The White House
Ethan was so excited because planes were coming into Reagan right over the city and that's all he wanted to watch
Standing on the driveway at the gate used during the Inauguration events
The front of The White House
Ethan loved DC and was exhausted coming back on the Metro - so tired he fell asleep leaning backwards on his seat
Jane and Erica came for a visit
Mrs.
Chedester and next door neighbor Nicole, taking Nina for a walk
At the Old
Ellicott City train museum
While there, a real train was coming by, so they went outside to check it out
We enjoyed our trip in Maryland - thanks Pa and
Ro Ro for letting us invade your house!

I bet Ethan loved the museums. He will have some awsome pictures to look at when he gets older. That's so neat that you were up there for that piece of history.
Miss you
As I look at your photos from Washington, I can't help but remember chaperoning you and the others in your class when the 7th grade went to Washington. My funniest memory...a hugh guard gave us a stern warning outside the Library of Congress about how they would check everyone for knives, guns, etc before letting us in. When he finished, Becky Sears turned to me, took a hugh Swiss Army knife out of her purse, and said, "Mrs. Kennedy, what do I do with this?" Fun trip!! Biggest memory of you was your rattling a brown bag full of candy all night on the bus. We didn't say much about it for we knew it was a rare opportunity for you to be away from Charlotte and eat candy. Love you!
Looks like a fun filled trip! I loved looking at all the pictures! Hope you guys are doing well!
I wish I could have seen Ethan at the Air and Space museum. I bet he loved it. Glad you had a good trip.
So fun. I love the picture of Ethan in front of the Washington Monument.
Please forgive my misspelling of "huge".
Man it looks cold there! Looks like a wonderful trip. Love the pic of Ethan in the big sunglasses...too cute!
How fun!! Great pictures!
Funny story of you eating your candy all night on the bus!
Great pictures! I remember my first trip to the Smithsonian... Your kids will discover new things every time you go back. I don't think I'll ever want to see the reflecting pool frozen myself... I prefer the warm weather for that trip! Thanks for the inauguration pictures. That was neat.
