This week is Ethan's week to take care of Myrtle the Turtle from his Sunday school class...At first I wasn't sure what Miss Roberta was thinking giving Ethan Myrtle the Turtle. But let me just tell you, Myrtle goes EVERYWHERE with Ethan. It's actually kind of nice - Myrtle has gotten Ethan to drink his milk, sit in his chair like a good boy and even eat lunch and dinner. I thought that I might be able to tell Ethan to leave Myrtle in the truck when we go in stores, but no, Myrtle has to go with us (and she comes with her very own pink bag with a big "M" on the front). Oh, Myrtle isn't a real turtle, if you haven't already figured that one out on your own. Mrytle went to Garden Ridge last night, she has been on the back of Poppa's trailer, she really enjoyed Booya's (local burrito place) with Nona and Poppa the other night, sleeps with Ethan and of course, eats all her meals at the table right next to Ethan. Tomorrow we have a playdate with some kids from church and I'm sure Myrtle will be right there in the middle of it all! Check back for more adventures with Myrtle...like I said, it's only Tuesday - you never know where else Myrtle might go!!!

Too cute! I love the picture of Ethan giving Myrtle a drink. Maybe we need a Myrtle if he can get kids to stay in their chairs! Can't wait to see you guys.
Looks like you are doing well. Your kids are cute as can be. How is Courtney?
What a good idea having the children care for an animal for a week. I can tell Ethan feels very responsible for Myrtle. Of course, it makes me think of Dr. Seuss's long-suffering Yertle the Turtle.
Every picture you post of Nina's is adorable. She looks like she is enjoying everything Ethan does.
How cute! I love the one of him feeding the turtle and the one with Nina and the turtle. She looks a little freaked out by it:)
Those are wonderful!! Myrtle probably never had it so good.
